NEW Colors!

Ok, so I don't have photos- yet! BUT I wanted to share with you our new colors for our Dirty Cowgirl Lip Gloss.

I've changed the formula for Dixie. She still rocks with lots of glam, but you might notice that is has a bit more sparkle than she use to. (Dixie is the clear, diamond-like gloss)

Next we have Faith. She is a sexy bubble-gum mixed with roses and a hint of gold. The gold is a nice warm undertone to the pink. The pink isn't crazy pink, but she likes to know she's there.

Then, my pride and joy- Dallas. Dallas is awesome! It is a frosty, muted pink with just enough shine to her. I compare Dallas to the frosted MAC color I use to wear, oh say last Winter... I think that's right.

I will take photos of the swatches soon so stay posted. I know you will love these new gals!

Thanksgiving Feast or Fast?

Brief notes on History: 1621 first Thanksgiving. We know that, but did you know the origin of Holidays? Answer Holydays. Ahh, bigger question, what is a Holyday? It is a public day in which you fast and pray to give respect to the Lord God. Interesting you might say... So, one is to fast, not feast on the biggest day of food?

What of political or activist fasts (obviously not including religious fasting)? One fasts to show their strength in something they believe in order for something to happen, or for other's to listen. Correct?

And what of me? Why do I ask such misc. questions regarding fasting? Bluntly, I am making a stand. Stupidity most will think, even myself, but I have decided that this will be my week of fast. For the record, I have only been successful at fasting for three days.

Why am I fasting? I am feeling empty, and to physically show my emotional emptiness, I am going to fast. (I'll let you know how long it lasts) Why am I "emotionally empty?" Simply put, no one here understands what I am going through. They've never had to deal with what I am faced with. I miss certain aspects of whom I once was. I want to use this fast to talk to God. The last time I fasted, I was successful, things that were completely amiss, became accomplished. The was resolution. But, it has drifted off. Now, I need to find out how to be strong, communicate and discuss what needs to be accomplished.

Am I some die-hard Christian-Activist- no. But I am a Christian whom is seeking answers and knows that to find those answers I must communicate with God.

I do not in any way want to be a "downer" I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'll be watching the parade, then football game, then Survivor (Russel is awesome!) then get ready for Black Friday. (Hmmmm... maybe)

100 FB challenge

Ok, so I wouldn't actually call it a challenge, I have to make so many for upcoming swaps (among other thigns... yawn) but I wanted to note that it is crazy making so many fb's!

While I hav made a big goal to get my swaps out a day or two after their assigned, it is a little sad knowing I must wait. But that's ok, because in like two or three weeks when I forget, I'll get a "present!"

Arizona State Fair is coming!

So this 'lil cowgirl has been so patient, and waited and waited, and now the moment is here! State Fair time! Whoo-hoo!

As of right now, I am planning on entering in about 17 devisions/classes. One of the Divisions is th "People's Tree" Christmas Tree Ornament! "Arizona has been selected to provide the U.S. Capitol Christmas tree (“People’s Tree”) in Washington, D.C. and we need ornaments to decorate it! Be a part of history and represent our great State of Arizona! Let’s showcase all of Arizona’s talents by submitting your hand-crafted ornament to be used to decorate the “People’s Tree” and various Congressional offices." (written on the state fair website: http://www.azstatefair.com/contests/peoplestree.aspx ) So if you're in AZ, be sure to check it out!

Handmade Kawaii and Kawaii Bookmark

Ok, so its been a couple days, and I think the swappers I sent these to got them already, so I feel better about posting! Also, since I'm combining my other blog, you're gonna start to see more "family" stuff and not just crafts and business stuff. (Hope you don't mind!)

This pretty collection of goodies went out to Hanna in Gilbert, AZ. I love that, international swap and I got somone right down the road from me! (Ok, twenty minutes away, but still) The swap was "Handmade Kawaii." Her first year anniversary with Justin is on the 8th of August so I send her an anniversary card too! (It was sup'osd to include a scratcher but I completely forgot! I'll have to mail it separetly.


Here is a close-up of the tea towel I embroidered for her! She's a chef, loves baking and Hello Kitty so I made her a towel with HK!


And here is a close-up of the cupcake pendant I and cellphone/ purse charm I made for her!


I really hope Lori doesn't look on my blog for a couple days because the swap below is for her! It was called "Kawaii Bookmark." I had a gut feeling I was going to get Lori, so I made her a Hello Kitty bookmark with her initial on it, plus another one that was just too cute. I also made her an HK pendant, and a set of pink and green push pins. Oh, I added a lollipop that look slike ice cream just because I can!


I hope these ladies LOVE them! :)
